The first forum for research and service centers at Benghazi University was held today, in the presence of the President of Benghazi University, Dr. Azzedine Aldersi. The forum was chaired by Dr. Abdelkarim Al-Ghazali, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, and attended by Dr. Fatima Alfalah, Director of Quality Assurance.

The forum included presentations of activities provided by the following research and service centers:

– Research and Consultation Center (one of the oldest centers at the university in research and consultation) presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Zarouq Al-Rashid, Center Director.
– Academic Performance and Training Development Center (faculty and teaching assistants training) presented by Dr. Kenza Al-Hassouni, Center Director.
– Information Technology and Communications Center (electronic technology and networks at the university) presented by Dr. Younes Al-Badri, the new center director.
– Language Center (preparing faculty, teaching assistants, and students in language skills) presented by Dr. Ahmed Bounouara, Center Director.
– Pharmaceutical and Environmental Chemistry Research Center (chemistry research on environmental, petroleum, and pharmaceutical pollution in various fields) presented by Dr. Dawood Al-Abbar, Center Director.
– General Administration and Institutional Development Center (governmental and local administration development and institutional reform in the country) presented by Dr. Anas Ba’ira, Center Director.
– Media Production Center (university media activities).
– Energy and Engineering Research Center (energy, electricity, and engineering research) presented by Dr. M. Salah Al-Mashiti, Center Director.
– Nanotechnology Research Center (particle approximation and observation of very fine materials for scientific research and development purposes) presented by Dr. Saad Al-Obaidi, Director of the Nanotechnology Research Center.
– Law and Society Studies Center (legal research, consultation, legislative reform, and constitutional development in the country and society) presented by Dr. Suleiman Al-Sahati, Center Director.
