Local cooperation:
Since its establishment, the Centre has been engaged in local cooperation with the government administration and public policy sectors of the Libyan Government; This cooperation culminated after the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation and Understanding with the Ministry of Finance of the former Libyan Government in implementation of the reform and institutional development recommendations proposed domestically and internationally. One of the most significant benefits of this cooperation was the implementation of the training programme for financial controllers from December 2020 to March 2021. The Financial Sector Institutional Development Symposium, which was fully equipped with its interlocutors and research, prevented the circumstances of the coronavirus crisis and the government change that occurred with February 2021 from being completed in the hope that it will be considered again due to its great importance as a next step and complement to the success of the government training programme “Diploma of Financial Monitors.”
The Centre also plans through the cooperation agreement signed with the Municipality of Benghazi to launch several cooperation activities with the Municipality in several professional and training aspects and to hold a specialized conference in the local administration.
The annual National Congress against Crime, held in July 2021, culminated in the Centre’s first fruitful cooperation with the Benghazi Municipal Security Directorate through the Centre’s chairmanship of the Scientific Committee for this Conference.
